Meet Kalia | Birth Doula
Kalia is the friend you never knew you needed in the birth room. With a background in early childhood education, a heart rooted in faith, and a genuine passion for the natural birth process, she brings warmth, knowledge, and unwavering support to every family she serves. A double certified birth doula trained in CPR, AED, and First Aid, Kalia is someone her clients can trust completely before, during, and after birth.
Outside of birth work she is a nature lover, a kitchen experimenter, and always has a new creative project in the works. What truly defines her is her genuine love for the people she serves, and every client feels that warmth from the very first conversation.
Why I became a birth doula in Wisconsin…
For a long time I was searching for a path that brought together my love of learning, health, the human body, and helping others in a truly meaningful way. After months of prayer and reflection, I found birth work and it clicked.
Taking my first doula class completely captivated me. I was in awe of the opportunity to support families through such a wonderful and life-changing experience. I'll be honest, I shed a few tears at my first birth, so don't be surprised if I do at yours too!
I believe that women were beautifully designed to bring life into this world, and that the fear surrounding birth can rob women of one of the most powerful experiences of their lives. It should not be this way. Every client I support reminds me exactly why I do this work, and I am so grateful to be a part of their story.

I support both medicated and unmedicated births and believe wholeheartedly that every preference deserves to be honored without judgment. Above all else, I show up for my clients the way a best friend would. I take time before every birth to build a genuine relationship, learn your story, and make sure you feel informed, confident, and completely prepared.
What makes my approach unique is that I don't just show up for the birth. I invest in you long before labor begins. Through our prenatal visits we build a real relationship so that by the time your birth day arrives, you already have a familiar, trusted presence by your side. No matter how your birth unfolds, you will have someone beside you with the hands on support, comfort techniques, and encouragement to help you through it all.

Kalia enjoys doing it all! When she's not supporting mothers during birth, she's most definitely at home cooking, gardening, and sewing, or out hiking, biking, and practicing Brazilian Ju-jitsu. She is a coffee and matcha LOVER and will find any excuse to go to Nourish (her favorite cafe) to grab a drink!
