Beth’s Journey to Midwifery
In 2020, I was a pregnant nursing student blindly following my midwife’s advice. Even though I was a nursing student and felt in tune with the ins and outs of medical care… I didn’t know I had choices; I was not informed or involved in my prenatal care, and I had NO IDEA I could advocate for myself, or even how!
I love teaching expecting parents—like you— the choices available during pregnancy and birth and helping you decide what is best for your experience...
☑️ Without stress.
☑️ Without fear.
☑️ Without uncertainty.
☑️ Without coercion from others.
I will help you set high expectations and approach your birth with a sense of fearlessness and excitement.
You deserve nothing less!
Philosophy Of Care
My role is to provide evidence-based care, protect your safety, and support you in making informed decisions. While birth can take unexpected turns, I am committed to helping you navigate changes with confidence and clarity. Your safety and your baby’s well-being will always be my top priorities. Together, we’ll create a supportive, family-centered experience that honors your strength, respects your autonomy, and empowers you to approach birth with trust and confidence.
Why I became a home birth midwife in Wisconsin…
The moment I was admitted into the hospital with my first baby, I gave away my autonomy. I didn't know I had choices, and I was very good at being a compliant patient. My baby and I were healthy, but I still grieve the birth I wanted.
Since then, I have worked as a labor and delivery nurse, became a certified nurse midwife, and have given birth twice more. One was a redemptive hospital water birth, and my most recent was an autonomous home birth.
It became so clear to me over the years that birth could be beautiful and not scary… and I wholeheartedly believe women should feel empowered to trust their bodies. But the system lacks continuous support.
It’s that fact that fuels my passion for how I show up for my clients as a home birth midwife.
I am passionate about bridging the gap in Waukesha County between what hospitals offer and what families truly want.
Families deserve care that respects their choices, honors their values, and provides the tools they need to advocate for themselves, ensuring that every birth feels supported, sacred, and their own.
Fulfill your dream birth desires…
Every woman’s “perfect birth” is different. But settling for a healthy mom and baby is not enough.
Pregnant women need to set the bar higher! What about…
☑️ A warm, inviting, and peaceful birth space - just like home. With soft lighting and a supportive team by your side. Yes, even during a hospital birth!
☑️ A place you can relax and focus, simply trusting birth without intervention.
☑️ Feeling confident enough to control your environment and educated enough to advocate for yourself.
Trusting birth and slowing down can be a challenge if unprepared, but you can make it happen for your birth!
If this sounds interesting to you, let's chat more about how to make it happen.
What I wish every pregnant mom in Waukesha knew…
You are the expert of your body, your baby, your situation, your values… NOT your provider. It’s not that their recommendations don’t matter, because they do. But, you are the one who gets to make the final decision and the individualized care you receive should be centered around your values.
Every step of the way, you should have all the information in a non-biased way, encouraged to make the best decision for yourself, and be supported in whatever it is that you choose.
I urge all families to set high expectations for personalized support and encourage education throughout their pregnancy, especially before being admitted to the hospital in labor!
I have seen the limitations of hospital policies and the inability to provide high-quality individualized care in the clinic and hospital settings as a nurse and midwife. With additional continuous support from a birth doula and/or childbirth educator, you can absolutely have the incredible, positive birth you deserve!

CLIENT LOVE
We knew Beth was the one once we finished our phone interview. She never once made us feel silly for our questions, always gave us options when I asked, and was beyond responsive. Her expertise was much appreciated, and we are so grateful for Beth and our time together.

When we first met Beth, she assured my husband and I that she had no intentions of persuading us in any direction of how birth should go. Instead, she met with us and made sure we knew and risks and benefits of things that come along with the birth experience. Overall Beth is a professional, passionate, kind, supportive woman with the best intentions for anyone taking on pregnancy/birth. She was open to answering any and all of our questions. She was amazing!

Beth was super supportive, knowledgeable, and overall just super easy and fun to work with. After meeting with Beth, I knew I wanted her on my birth team. If I were to have another baby, which I won’t be- I would hire Beth again! If you’re on the edge, just do it. You won’t regret it! I would give her 10 stars if I could!

We got the birth we wanted, and Beth was a major part of that. This was the birth story I wish I could have also had my first time around.
